EU-Ukraine visa free regime may enter into force in summer

The European Parliament predicts that visa liberalization with the EU for Ukraine will enter into force by the end of summer. This was reported by the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"The procedure for the suspension of the mechanism is being developed at the moment. The EU Council should adopt this mechanism to halt on February 27 and next day starts a trialogue on the Ukrainian question", the correspondent said.

It is also noted that after the trialogue must take following steps:

Vote in the European Parliament's Committee (March 21);
Vote at the European Parliament session (April 4);
Ambassadors adopt visa liberalization (April 26);

The journalist added that the dates are approximate.

“Visa free regime has to enter into force on June 12", the correspondent added.

In general, the expectations of the European Parliament in Brussels are positive. If it does not happen on June 12, forecasts say the visa free regime will enter into force at least until the end of the summer.
