In commemoration of the 85th anniversary of the Ukrainian Genocide-Holodomor of 1932-33, experience the North American premiere of the highly acclaimed “Ukrainian Requiem,“ composed by Yevhen Stankovych and performed by the Kalamazoo Philharmonia and Bach Festival Chorus, conductor Andrew Koehler, with guest soloists Nina Matviyenko and Stefan Szkafarowsky.

The Women’s Bandura Ensemble of North America entwines the skills and voices of female bandurists in musical tribute memorializing the victims of the Ukrainian Genocide, one of the most largely overlooked heinous crimes against humanity of the 20th Century.
