Ukraine's Historical Forum in New York City
On September 17, 2015 a special forum to mark the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independance was held at the Princeton Club in New York City. This historical event brought together key government and non-government representatives. The forum was concluded with an evening gala banquet where senior policy shapers from the US and Ukraine reflected upon Ukraine's 25th independence.
Among the special guests were: Madeleine Albright, US Secretary of State, Tom Ridge, US Secretary of Homeland Security, Borys Tarasyuk, UA Rada Foreign Affairs Committee Deputy Chair.
Madeleine Albright finished her speech with a powerful message, "Ukraine was, Ukraine is, Ukraine will be."
After the full-day conference, the Ukrainian Chair "Dymka" performed a medley of Ukraine's Folkloric Classics.
The guests also watched the trailer of a new documentary "Breaking Point: The War for Democracy in Ukraine" by producer Peter Borisow & (three time Oscar Winner) Director Mark Harris.
